Catherine “Cat” Young

Catherine “Cat” Young joined Davis & Cannon, LLP as an associate in October 2020. Before joining the firm, Cat spent two years as a law clerk for Justice Kate M. Fox of the Wyoming Supreme Court, where she developed a strong understanding of appellate advocacy in several areas of law.
Cat graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law with honors in 2018. During law school, she served as Student Director of the Defender Aid Clinic, a student-staffed program for indigent individuals who have been accused or convicted of crimes. In this role, she litigated felony cases in state and federal court at the trial and appellate levels. Cat also served as a Student Editor for the Wyoming Law Review and interned at a Wyoming law firm focused on federal civil rights litigation. Upon graduation, Cat was named the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Graduate and the Defender Aid Clinic Outstanding Student. Before law school, Cat earned degrees in International Studies and French from the University of Wyoming and studied at the University of Strasbourg in France.
Cat grew up in Casper, Wyoming and takes pride in her Wyoming roots. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, spending time outdoors and in the kitchen, and relaxing with family and friends.
